Airtel donates ‘Kick Polio’ aprons to Ministry of Health and Sanitation
Airtel this past Friday, November 29, donated 5,000 aprons to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.
In her statement at the ceremony, Airtel’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Ms. June Rose Johnson, said that Airtel will continue to demonstrate its corporate social responsibilities to the country.
She stated that Airtel is a proud partner of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation which is why they have designed 5,000 pieces of aprons at the cost of $23,000 for the Ministry. She maintained that they will continue to intervene in other areas in the country as the need arises.
In his comments, the Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry, Mr. Babah Fortune, stated that they were very grateful to Airtel as the Government wants partners for the Ministry which Airtel has answered to.
He recalled that Airtel has joined the Ministry in many campaigns before for which he said they were very thankful to the Ministry, while promising that they will use the aprons for their intended purpose.
