Nasser Ayoub to perform at Excellence Award in London
Popular artist Nasser Ayoub (in photo) will perform in London at the upcoming Sierra Leone Excellence Award (SLEA) on Saturday, November 30th. Organisers say the ‘Tranga Hase Borbor’ star will fly out of Freetown ahead of his performance at the SLEA.
This is the first international gig for the renowned artist. Ayoub is expected to share stage with other Sierra Leonean acts in London including Alonzo, Cece, Plan X, FTFreshmusic and show host Alim Kamara and Edwina Momoh.
In a short interview via whatsapp, Ayoub said he feels highly honored to perform at the SLEA in London. The businessman turned musician said he has always been looking forward to performing for his Sierra Leonean brothers and Sisters in the Diaspora especially London.
He thanked the organizers for the recognition and assured all of a wonderful performance. Famous, who is expected in town from US, will also perform at the awards in London.
The organizers said in a press release sent to SaloneJamboree that: “Many Sierra Leoneans in the UK have collectively engaged in a major reconstruction effort to see the country back to its former glory.”
The release stated further, “These awards are in recognition of those having fought ceaselessly to attain the new level of reconstruction and rehabilitation both at home and in the Local Community in the Diaspora. The awards are diverse with different categories of winners emerging from various industries.”
Special Guests include Sierra Leone High Commissioner, Ghana High Commissioner, Gambia High Commissioner, football star Kei Kamara and many more.
