School teacher wanted dead or alive
Kabala, Nov. 14 (SLENA) – On Monday 4th November 2013, some unidentified members stormed the residence of a man known as Papah Kamara at night and brutalized him. According to police report, the said incident took place in a border village called Gbentu in the Koinadugu district, northern Sierra Leone. Gbentu is close to the Republic of Guinea.
Reports said the alleged attackers believed Papah was hiding the family of one Alpha Bangura, a former school teacher of the Kabala Secondary School in Kabala who the attackers believed had fled Kabala after he had refused to be initiated into the local ‘gbangbanie’ secret society in that part of the country.
Sources say Papah was seriously beaten and threatened to be killed if he refused to show the whereabouts of Alpha Bangura’s family. The society thugs believed Alpha had learnt quite a bit of their secret and therefore deserved to be punished.”We want him dead or alive”, the society members had threatened Papah.
Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Alpha Bangura remain unknown.
