NGO DIF-SL assures blind farmers in Lunsar
The Executive Director of a local non Governmental organisation in Sierra Leone, the Disabled International Foundation, Sierra Leone (DIF-SL), Madam Imambay Kadie Kamara, has assured blind farmers in the Lunsar community that she will continue to provide farming equipment, seeds and other logistics to help them carry out their farming activities and become self-sufficient in food. During a recent visit on farming sites at Katic village, four miles off Lunsar town, Madam Imambay Kadie Kamara said that she was amazed with the development of the farming activities in growing of groundnuts, corn, rice, and other crops and the positive impact these activities are having on the people of Lunsar.
She disclosed that her organization is focused on benefiting the disabled and blind people and bringing them to work together for self-reliance and motivation.
She explained that her love and support for disabled people is a means of demonstrating the love she had for her late mother who was also a disabled person.
She concluded that she will continue to raise her voice to the local and international communities for the disabled.
