He said Miss Madonna Garber, Miss Antoinette George, Miss Doreen Kargbo, Miss Josephine Mansaray, Miss Kadija Munu and Miss Bintu Sheriff, are the names of the chosen ladies for this year’s Miss Freetown.
He pointed out that the event will create major opportunities for all contestants from Marie Stopes who have offered to award the first three winners one year paid jobs, while the Zogada Technology Institution in Freetown have also offered to give one year training to the last three winners Information, Communications and Technology (ICT).
“We are working assiduously to bring consciousness among women on the essence for them to focus on positive behaviours for their socio-economic development and respect for their womanhood in their various communities,” Mr. Luke explained.
He disclosed that his group has won an international award for their movie, “Blood sacrifice,” which he said has seriously motivated them to maintain international standards in arts by using their skills to preach against gender violence, traditional and cultural dislikes, drug abuse, and to further promote talents of Sierra Leoneans through entertainment.
He said other musicians who have gained public domain will also grace the event to complete this year’s documentary on their group’s activities for standard judgment.
Mr. Melron Luke assured the people of Sierra Leone that his group was very desirous to work with local and international humanitarian bodies, individuals, and the Government to help create development among the people of Sierra Leone.
