SLPP Councillor joins APC
Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) Councillor Sheku Sankoh of Ward 108 in Constituency 55 in the Port Loko District, yesterday, at the All Peoples Congress (APC) national headquarters at 11 Hannah Benka Coker Street, Freetown, declared his allegiance to the ruling APC.
According to Councillor Sankoh, he decided to join the APC because the current Minister of Trade and Industry, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara brought him into politics, and he wanted to be close to him and work with him.
He also explained that he was being persistently marginalized by the opposition SLPP which had left him with no option but to quit the SLPP and join the APC.
He revealed that he was once a Young Generation Leader for the SLPP in his Constituency before he become Councillor, adding that he was ready to serve the APC to make Sierra Leone a better place.
“I will never go back to the SLPP,” he vowed.
