As President Koroma fights to resolve football dispute South-easterners cry foul

As President Ernest Bai Koroma succeeds in persuading members of the aggrieved football family, most of whom are All Peoples Congress (APC) loyalists, to take part in the Premier League under the leadership of Madam Isha Johansen, South-Easterners have said that they have been politically bullied and denied the opportunity to fight a just cause.

Speaking to this press, most of these aggrieved South-Easterners said they were disappointed by the controversial election of Madam Isha Johansen as President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA). They maintained that the election of Madam Isha Johansen was politically influenced.

They explained that the Minister of Sports, Mr. Paul Kamara is alleged to be claiming that Messrs Mohamed Kallon, Rodney Michael, and other key football stakeholders are members of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) and that as long as he is Minister of Sports they will never lead the SLFA.

A political analyst has described the attitude of Mr. Paul Kamara as very biased and racist which he said will not do any good to the good intentions of President Koroma.

“Paul Kamara’s egoistic and selfish intentions are pushing the game of football to the doldrums in this country,” he noted.

As we were going to press late last night news reaching us indicated that most footballers are expressing their determination to stage boycotts until the marginalized and trustworthy people like Messrs Mohamed Kallon, Rodney Michael, and John Dissa among others are reinstated to fully participate in the ongoing executive body of the SLFA; while Mr. Paul Kamara should be made to publicly renounce his allegations and apologise to the citizens of this country for disturbing their joy in disrupting the football industry in this country.
