In Sierra Leone – Milton Margai College examinations officers in result scam
Ongoing investigations at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) HQ has proven that the Deputy Examinations Officer at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET) Congo Cross Campus, Mr. Leigh Bockarie and Mr. Volima of the same institution are alleged to have been named in a case of forgery of results.
The investigations further found out that one Mr. Samuel Bangura who is presently in the police net was allegedly caught with fake results identified to be a document from the Milton Margai College of Education, Science and Technology, which he is reported to have used to secure a job at the Magbass Sugar Complex in Port Loko.
The said result is alleged to have been prepared and signed by Mr. Leigh Bangura, and Mr. Volima of the same institution.
A police source also disclosed that they are also investigating an allegation levied against Mr. Samuel Bangura of his involvement with the company’s fund of Le176 Million.
In an interview with Mr. Umaru Bundu, Dean of Milton Margai, Congo Cross Campus, he confirmed that the result Mr. Samuel Bangura used to attain a job at the Magbass Sugar Complex was fake and that information about the use of this fake result by Mr. Samuel Bangura has been known to authorities at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology.
“The use of fake results by people to attain jobs at several institutions within the country is nothing new and it is becoming very alarming,” he concluded.
