Real Friends FC Executive Relaunch Squad
One time non-division Western Area football super heavyweight champions, Real Friends FC was re-launched over the weekend, Sunday 8th September 2013 at the Grassfield Community Centre.
The ceremony was jam packed with players, executive, parents, guardians, football stakeholders, politicians, and community elders.
The celebration week started on Thursday 5th September when four Real Friends Clubs were split into four groups and in the opening match, the 3rd Generation of players defeated the 1st Generation of players 3-1 on Friday 6th Generation two beat 4th generation 7- 6 on post penalties after a 0-0 full time draw.
In the grand final on Sunday 8th at the Grassfield playing field, Generation Three defeated 2nd Generation 3-2 on post penalties after a 11 full time to win the real Friends re-lunching gala.
Adding the gathering, the team manager, T-m Abubakarr Kamara praised the technical team and players for being committed to the club all this while.
The Chairman, Ibrahim Conteh said Real Friends FC is a community team and that all must throw their weight behind the team and thanked all who graced the occasion and help in diverse ways.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony included Hon Sheku Amani, Chairman Shek Aruna and Pastor Dauda Serry of Jee’s ministry.
Certificates of recognition were presented to past and present officials who played a role towards the progress of the club.
