Army Colonel takes office

Newly appointed Lieutenant Colonel Juana Momoh Lukay who was appointed Commanding Officer of the Second Infantry Battalion in Kenema has taken office.

Lieutenant Colonel J.M.Lukay was enlisted into the Sierra Leone Armed Forces in 1994 as Officer Cadet, trained and passed out in 1995 as Sub Lieutenant at the Benguema Training Centre now the Armed Forces Training Centre.

 Lieutenant Colonel Lukay has held several appointments which include Platoon Commander, Adjutant, Staff Officer Grade Two and Battalion Second in Command.

He has attended several courses which include Platoon Commander Battle Course, junior Division Staff Course, Company Commander and attended several seminars and workshops.

He represented the Sierra Leone Army in UNAMID in 1998 to 1999 as he was the Chief Movement Control officer in Sector West Darfur.

On June 3, 2013 he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed Commanding Officer Second Infantry Battalion in Kenema.

His hobbies include football and fishing and he is a widower with three children.
