The appeal was made by the Luthuania Ambassador to the United Kingdom Her Excellency, Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene, when she paid courtesy call on Sierra Leone’s Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Tamba Mansa Ngegba at his London office.

She handed over a letter from the Embassy of Lithuania on behalf of her government appealing for support from the Government of Sierra Leone.

The Ambassador then extended an invitation to the High Commission of Sierra Leone to visit both the Lithuanian Embassy and their country in a bid to strengthen bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The Deputy High Commissioner, who was addressing the Ambassador in his capacity of Acting High Commissioner, thanked his guest for visiting the High Commission and for acknowledging Sierra Leone for such a huge task.

Ngegba promised to forward the letter to headquarters for the attention of the Foreign Minister Dr. Samura Kamara.

The Deputy High Commissioner also highlighted some of his country’s major achievements and challenges over the past few years while looking forward to further bilateral talks between the two missions in the United Kingdom.

Both diplomats discussed high level bilateral interests and the need to always work together for the good of both countries.
