Headman Negotiates Le 300M for Hastings
The Headman of Hastings revealed that he has succeeded in negotiating a Le300 million soft loan for the women of Hastings; the loan he said will be provided by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Usman Boie Kamara.
Kainde Pearce made this disclosure during a meeting past Saturday at the Hastings Police Training School when he was cataloguing the several development projects he has been championing in the Hastings community.
According to him, he is the brain behind the extension and rehabilitation of the Hastings Community Health Centre which was sponsored by the Hastings Association in the United Kingdom. The Headman also informed this press that he has constructed three culverts in the community and has replaced corroded galvanized water pipes with rubber pipes, apart from being the brain behind the construction of the community market. He further disclosed that he provided giant water tanks for part of the community that was stranded for water, a project that was sponsored by the Welt Hunger Hilfe.
The Headman also informed that he is a pioneer of the Vita Foam Factory that is being established in the community, noting that 70% of the company’s employment will benefit Hastings as per his negotiation. He damned the anti-development detractors who keep undermining his developmental efforts, noting that such people are hell bent on retrogressing the progress of the Hastings community.
Kainde Pearce used the forum to declare that he has vied again for the Headman position and called on the residents to give overwhelming support.
An elderly resident, Zainu Sesay, described the headman as God-fearing, firm, focused, kind, dedicated to duty and patriotic and, therefore, called on the people to give him a second chance.
