Professor Parrot – Force for Bad
Parrot is pleading with the blue boys to re-brand their slogan from Force for Good to Force for Bad. This is because, nowadays, the blue boys are doing quite the inverse of what they are constitutionally mandated to do. The blue boys are supposed to be protecting lives and property but they are now the very ones taking away the lives and properties they are legally mandated to protect. This is a complete irony.
Parrot still remembers the brutal Kono killings, the Bumbuna shootings among others. Parrot can also vividly recall the incident in which a police officer stabbed a carpenter for food and very recently, the politically inspired brutalization of the Rochen villagers suspected of cultivating and trafficking the notorious diamba drugs.
When you visit the check points or the collection points, then you will realize that indeed our blue boys have become more of tax collectors; you will realize that the blue boys have truly become a Force for Bad.
Just have few thousand Leones in your pocket and you will travel with any amount of illegal commodity right round this republic with impunity. This is because the blue boys at the check points are busy checking for money, not for contraband goods or criminals.
In Sierra Leone today certain top police officers are the best friends of hard core criminals. AIG Sorious can attest to this. Just steal a fabulous amount of money and the blue boys will be your best friends. Since Biddle left, the blue boys have gone berserk and have become a national disgrace. Where is this country heading to when our police have become killers, Parrot is afraid.
