Airtel Rising Stars tournament to commence soon

The much awaited Airtel Rising Stars (ARS) tournament will soon commence but in a different style this year.

The ARS soccer talent programme aims to focus on identifying and nurturing budding soccer talent from the grassroots onto a national level.

The first and second season of the programme, which followed a hugely successful inaugural year, provides a platform for upcoming soccer talent under the age of 17 to showcase their skills to leading scouts and coaches, giving them an opportunity to further their football skills.

The ARS tournament has always attracted high profiled football stakeholders in the country.

Airtel is working with the Sierra Leone Football Association, Youth Employment and Sports and National Youth Commission, to identify and nurture aspiring football stars.

At Season I, Sierra Leone’s football legend, Mohamed Kallon launched the ARS and Season II, was launched by Manchester United Legend, Dwight Yorke.

Airtel has set aside another big surprise for this third season of the tournament.
