For Land Grabbing…Sierra Leone NPA boss to be evicted

People occupying high positions in this country are now the very ones engaged in land grabbing.

The High Court of Sierra Leone has ordered the eviction of the General Manager of the National Power Authority, Zubairu Ahmed Kalokoh, from a land which he grabbed at Hill Station, by the American Embassy.

Mr. Kalokoh is reported to have grabbed the land from the Johnson Family, claiming that he acquired the land from the Lands Ministry.

In 2010, the Johnson Family dragged the Lands Ministry to court.  After the legal battle, the High Court has ruled that the disputed land belongs to the Johnson Family and the court has, consequently, ordered Mr. Kalokoh’s eviction from the land.

To effect the eviction, the Head of Legal and Support Department, Supt Kamara has called for 150 police officers to help with the eviction.
