UMC Commence 133rd Annual Conference
Thousands of representatives from the United Methodist Church (UMC) Sierra Leone Annual conference on Wednesday 6th March 2013 started their 133rd session of the Sierra Leone annual conference at the Kercher Memorial united Methodist Church Seiyia Street Kenema city Nongowa chiefdom eastern Sierra Leone on the theme Keeping the Dream Alive .
Welcoming the guests present the district superintendent of Kenema district Rev. Solomon G. Rogers said that since the establishment of the conference in the country this the first time Kenema district is hosting the conference under the great leadership of the right Rev. Bishop John K. Yanbasu, adding that he is grateful to the Bishop and his cabinet for bringing the conference to his district and that members of the united Methodist Kenema district appreciate the bishop.
One of the Bishops at the conference in conversation with this medium said that the purpose of the conference is that each year they have an annual conference of all United Methodists in the country and foreign guests join them to account for their stewardship and as a stock taking moment and what they have planned for themselves and what they think they have done right or wrong.
Concluding Rev. Dr. Edwin Momoh invited everybody in Kenema to witness the conference.
