Lumley Welfare Committee Gala to Kick-off Weekend
The much trumpeted and eagerly awaiting Lumley Welfare Committee (LWC) Gala will commence on Friday, 22nd February, 2013, at the Lumley Grassfield playing field.
8 clubs namely Wilberforce Strikers, Long Bench FC, Spurs FC, Real Friends, Serwo FC, Cockeril United, Bureh FC and Harry Laks FC are expected to participate.
Speaking to the chairman of the Association, Adams Arch said his association has been promoting and organizing football and assured all that immediately after this gala they will come up with a “Big League Soccer Tournament Slated to commence on Saturday, 9th March 2013, and registration per club will be Le 250.000 .
Chairman Adams Arch said all modalities have been arranged for the gala to commence this weekend.
On Friday 22nd February, Wilberforce FC will engage the newly crowned Rev. Emile Jones Champions, Serwo FC.
On Saturday 23rd, Long Bench will face Cockeril FC and on Sunday 24th ,Spurs will battle against Harry Laks FC while Real Friends will entertain Bureh FC on Monday 25th February .Semi Finals is slated for 27th and 28th February and Grand Final for 3rd March, 2013.
“The Gala matches are free entrance as no club was asked to register by the association,” Prezo Arch said.
