For Breach of MOU… Queen’s Apology
The Paramount Chief of Marampa Chiefdom, Bai Koblo Queen, has, on behalf of the Manonkoh Community, apologized to London Mining Company for a breach of the MOU between the company and the community.
In a letter addressed to the Human Resource Manager of the company, Barry Honnah, dated February 9th, 2013, Bai Koblo Queen explained that the breach of the MOU was caused by a negative publicity of a suspended Headman of Manonkoh who falsely accused London Mining of being responsible for the flooding in their area, recalling that the allegation was scientifically proven wrong by two international consultants contracted by the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA-Sierra Leone. PC Queen pleaded with the company to continue giving humanitarian assistance to the Manonkoh Community.
