Sierra Leone consoles Saudi over death of Riyadh Governor
Sierra Leone has offered its condolences to the Saudi Royal family over the death of the Governor of Riyadh, His Royal Highness, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
On behalf of Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, the Government and people of Sierra Leone, accredited Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Wusu B. Munu conveyed heartfelt sympathy to His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud, the bereaved family, the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the irreparable loss.
In a letter addressed to the Saudi King, the Ambassador wrote: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Saudi people during this difficult time of mourning.The late man was an astute leader who worked assiduously for the progress and development of Saudi Arabia and for the good of mankind in general.”
The envoy concluded: “I pray that Allah showers His bountiful mercy and forgiveness on him and grant him His highest paradise.” Prince Sattam passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.
