Biometric Era – Parrot has observed that Sierra Leone is now experiencing a wave of Biometric Registrations.  Just a few months ago, the National Electoral Commission (NEC), registered voters biometrically and now the West African Examination Council (WAEC), has brought its own Biometric Registration to register candidates for the WASSCE.  By tomorrow, the police will go biometric and then the prisoners, the journalists the parliamentarians, the OMOLANKAY riders, the thieves etc. Everybody will be registered via biometric, welcome to the biometric era in which nobody believes nobody. This is an era of trouble for impersonators.

The Vicious Cycle – The great Professor was recently having some fun in a popular pub where he met two best friends, one a lecturer and the other a principal of a renowned school. They were conversing while boozing pints of club beer. Then suddenly, the lecturer told the principal, “stop sending bad students to my college.” Then the principal responded, “stop sending bad teachers to my school.”

Operation Bribe – Patriotic Professor Parrot has gathered that some money-hungry officers carrying out Operation WID have resorted to the dirty trick of soliciting bribes from traders who do not want their stalls to be demolished, yes, Parrot saw it all at the Victoria Park and the wonderful bird knows the officers just too well. “One million or we demolish your stall,” they demanded menacingly. Parrot is warning those officers to desist forthwith if they do not want to be named and shamed. This is not Operation Bribe.
