Pupils Embarrass ‘First Lady’
One of the leaders of the APC campaign in Small Bo chiefdom, Kenema District, Madam Juan Banya who is the wife of the Paramount Chief, Dafie Banya, was embarrassed by pupils of the St. Joseph’s Secondary & Agricultural School, Blama, Kenema.
Madam Banya, popularly called ‘First Lady of Small Bo’, was embarrassed by pupils of the Saint Joseph Secondary School in Blama, where she visited with delegation on November 6 in a bid to pay term’s fees for over hundred of pupils apparently to cajole them to vote in favor of APC party.
While the school administration was busy issuing receipts to the hundred fortunate pupils, a huge crowd of pupils burst out shouting, Tormentor! Tormentor! Maada Bio! Maada Bio! Madam Banya was vividly perturbed by the embarrassment and together with her delegation, hurriedly vacated the school campus.
Many pupils wondered why Madam Banya was paying school fees for pupils only few days to November 17. “Why had she not paid the fees long ago only now that the elections are approaching?” they asked.
