APC urges all to respect the national flag

Freetown, November 7^th 2012: The attention of the APC National Presidential Campaign Committee (APC-NPCC) has been drawn to artistic impressions of national flag inscribed with political parties’ symbols.

The APC-NPCC wishes to inform the general public that the National Flag is sacred and distinct from political party symbols. The APC symbol – the rising sun with 13 rays – is unique and separate from the national flag. The APC NPCC urges all to respect this distinction as they exercise their constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression.

The APC-NPCC further reiterates its call to its supporters and the general public to focus on ensuring peaceful elections.
