Campaign Financing

The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) is the constitutional and statutory body that has the mandate to monitor and supervise the conduct of political parties in Sierra Leone. In line with its monitoring and supervisory  mandate, the PPRC wishes to remind all Political Parties and urges them to abide by their obligations under the political parties Act and Statutory Instrument (supplement to the Sierra Leone gazette Vol. CXXXIX No 3 , dated 17th January, 2008.) relating to campaign financing.

Cognizance of the need to support political parties to fulfill their obligations under the Political Parties Act relating to campaign financing, the PPRC in collaboration with IFES, have taken steps to produce and distribute forms EF01, and forms EF02, and EF03, and made available in nomination centers countrywide to be handed over and to be filled by every parliamentary and presidential candidate sixty (60) days after the declaration of results. Parliamentary and President Candidates are then required by law to submit all forms to their National Secretary/General Secretary and National Treasurer for onward submission to the PPRC. The PPRC therefore urges all candidates to abide by this provision in the law.
