New Tractor for Herbalist
A tractor worth over £1,500 has arrived at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay meant for the voluntary organization known as Council of Traditional Healers Sierra Leone.
President of the Council of Traditional Healers, Dr. Sheku Tarawally informed this medium that the organization is not having any support funds from government institutions within or outside the country. “I used my personal finances to buy this tractor to promote agriculture within my organization,” said Sheku Tarawally. He noted that the tractor is to be used by members of the Council of Traditional Healers; most of whom are farmers, on a free basis. This venture according to Dr. Tarawally is to augment what politicians refer to as food security.
Dr. Tarawally maintained that any member who wants to use the tractor should at least provide fuel for the running of the machine, which he said was bought in London. He assured that with this kind of engagement bad herbalists will not engage in harmful traditional practices like before when people were destroyed by witch means.
“Now I am using bad minded herbalists to produce food for the people”, Tarawally admitted.
