Dennis Ojo Williams Declares for Mayor
Dennis Christopher Ojo Williams on Friday August 31st 2012 declared his intention to vie under the APC ticket for the Mayoral seat of Freetown at the APC Headquarters.
The would be Mayor disclosed calls of President Koroma, adding that he is a grassroots politician and he knows the problems of Freetownians.
He told the people that he wanted to uplift their status by providing food on their tables as it should not be only for the rich. He boasted that he is a man of integrity, dignity, and respect, adding that he has 10 projected plans to clean the city and cited other priorities including building of market stalls.
He highlighted that when he becomes Mayor he would ensure Sierra Leoneans have rights in their own country, provide housing for pensioners, education, Medicare and ridding beggars off the streets of Freetown.
He maintained that education has fallen seriously and he would put a premium on council’s schools to compete with private schools, and the establishment of council schools in all constituencies.
Dennis Ojo Williams stressed that transportation will be provided, and the handicapped will also be his priority.
He underlined that when he becomes the Mayor of Freetown he would ensure the people go back to our culture, which he said is lacking among Sierra Leoneans.
The chairman of the programme Rev. Septimus Abayomi Cole called on the people to change their attitude and support a candidate that will change the landscape of Sierra Leone. He pointed out that Dennis has been in America and chose to come home and help rebuild the country. According to him, Dennis is a disciplinarian and will not let you down.
The APC Women’s congress leader, Haja Ya Alimamy Manso affirmed that they want Dennis Ojo Williams for Mayor to develop the city.
A Creole Elder, George Ojo Williams assured the people that “Dennis will not disgrace you, nor molest you but will stand for your rights as he is very forceful and will not disappoint you”.
