New Chief Administrator calls for Rapid Development
The new Chief Administrator of the Bombali District Council (BDC), Josiah Bangali has called for progress in the council.
Addressing councilors, tribal heads, and stakeholders past Tuesday at the District headquarter of Magbena, the new CA said Bombali being the seat of power must be an example of other councils.
The BDC he said must strategise on how to raise revenue apart from the usual local tax collection and market dues. He said there should be new motivation and initiative on how to introduce new systems of raising revenue next year, which he disclosed will include rent on assets. This he said will enable the council to be independent and decide on what project they would undertake.
The BDC he said will engage on data collection on the number of houses in the district and the standards.
The Development officer of BDC Frank Kanu said development is not only for a particular class but should be reflected on vast majority and therefore called on NGOs to work with the council.
