Parliament interviews four presidential nominees for appointment

These nominees include, Justice Tholla Thompson, proposed Chairman of the Political Party Registration and Regulations Commission, PPRRC. The others are Aplha Bada Massey Savage, proposed board member, National Minerals Agency, Raymond Mash Robert, proposed Chairman of the National Mineral Agency and Mrs. Yebo Mariam Kamara, proposed board member of the National Minerals Agency.
During the interview, the committee took into consideration the nominees’ working experience, declared assets, track records, tax obligation and educational back ground.
Responding to questions relating to the operations of the PPRRC, Tholla Thompson said he will continue to work in the interest of the country while the proposed board member for the National minerals Agency Mr. Bada said if approved by parliament he would like to seek the need for students in the engineering department of Fourah Bay College to be capacitated with mining engineering knowledge to help Sierra Leone in the mining sector.
Raymond Robert, on his part, assured the committee that he will work in accordance with the president’s agenda for change in moving Sierra Leone forward. These nominees would have to face the whole house for approval.
