Quickfix looks to open factory in Sierra Leone – potholes could be a problem of the past

Potholes cause accidents. They deter and slow traffic; present a poor image; injure travellers; limit access; disrupt business; damage vehicles; create congestion; harm the local economy; and only get worse!

But now there is a simple, fast and inexpensive answer: QUIKFIX INSTANT ROAD REPAIR.

Quikfix is a cold-mix technology which requires no heating and no road closures. It is an instant and permanent repair solution for damaged roads, bridge joints, airport runways, driveways, open spaces and all asphalted areas. Vehicles can drive over a Quikfix repair immediately and it is so durable that a repair often outlasts the surrounding asphalt.

Quikfix is considering introducing this 21st Century technology to Sierra Leone. Proven to be highly-effective in over 20 countries worldwide, Quikfix is looking to invest in building a factory and employing crews throughout the country to tackle the growing problem of recurring potholes. It is currently proposing the system to Government.

Quikfix director, Philip Deighton, based in the UK, says, “We have identified a need for our technologically-advanced product in Sierra Leone where it will make a vast improvement to driving conditions. Potholes seriously damage local economies but the only remedy before Quikfix was to close roads and undertake extensive, expensive repairs using hot asphalt and costly machinery”.

Philip went on to explain, “Given government go-ahead, we are prepared to invest over SLL 2 billion in a new factory and provide employment and training to manufacturing and repair crews. The business could be operational within 12 weeks”.
