Okada accident at Kissy Road
Mr. Abdul Kamara, a trailer driver with registration Number AED 233, of 19 Scotland Street, on Friday July 20th, collided with two motorbike riders at Kissy Road at around 10:00 pm. According to the driver, he was driving along Savage Street with a 40′ container when he heard a loud shout in an attempt to stop him. He said after applying his footbrake, he noticed a motor bike and the rider right under the tyres of the trailer.
According to the District Traffic Officer, Mohamed Kamara, Ross Road Police Division, he said they were at the station when they heard a distress call from a concerned citizen that a fatal accident had happened at Kissy Road. He said eyewitnesses told the police that the two bike riders attempted to overtake the trailer carrying a 40′ container resulting in a collision and loss of life of one Alusine Kolifh Koroma, 5 Donsen Lane, off Kissy Road.
Police source stated that the deceased was identified by Ibrahim Sorie Conteh of the same address with the other rider currently being at the Emergency Hospital awaiting identification from the public.
