Impressive striker Mohamed Buya Turay was star of the match as he scored twice, one from the penalty spot and the other from a thunderous right-footed shot before setting up Girbrilla Mansaray for the third.
Ibrahim Kamara and Sulaiman Kargbo accounted for Kallon FC’s goals.
Kallon FC were the only Western Area team in the nationals last year that made it to the Western Area regional finals this year but their dream to reach the Makeni nationals has now been shattered.
Three other teams Mount Aureol SLIFA, Area Best, and Soccer Raiders were also knocked out of the competition on Friday.
The female competition also started on Friday with three matches. In the opening game, Soccer Queens convincingly walloped East End Lioness 3-0 with goals from Isata Kamara, Fatmata Turay and Jarriatu Kamara. Turay and Jarriatu were very impressive and are players to watch.
East End Lioness also lost 2-0 to Palmer Queens in their second match and have gone out of the tournament.
Rural Queens from Waterloo defeated Hard Rock 1-0, thanks to Ramatu Kamara whose effort separated the two sides.
The tournament continues on Saturday with seven matches slated to take place (four male and three female).
The male teams that are still in contention for the allocated spots to Western Area for the nationals are Sunderland FC, Kei FC, Saint Lewis Rangers, Eze FC, Mattia FC and Real Mack FC.
