His main areas of focus were:
- Strong connection between G20 and Rio+20
- The important concept of a transition, country specific
- Commendation of African countries coming forward with their own green plans
- Food security
- Africa has to learn from Brazil

- Green economy is an African issue (not a foreign agenda)
- But the failure of climate finance is a huge disappointment
