PACO Donates office equipment to parliament

Freetown, 20  June (SLENA): In other to help parliament archive better delivery services, the Parliamentary Assistance Coordination Office through the support of UNDP last week donated office equipment to the hansard section of parliament.

Presenting the materials, Mr. Edward Kamara, head of Governance unit at the UNDP said they have been supporting parliament in the past so that it will maintain better record keeping for research purposes for the general public.

He assured that UNDP will continue to support parliament in order to promote good governance in the country, adding that other departments within parliament will also be benefiting from UN support.

Receiving the items, the Clerk of Parliament, Mr. Ibrahim Sesay thanked UNDP and PACO for helping the parliamentary service commission acquire better equipment to enable them work in a conducive environment.

Equipment donated included desktop computers, Laserjet printers and office furniture.

In her remarks, the Coordinator of PACO in parliament, Madam Frazer said the coordinating office in parliament will continue to support parliament and promised that all equipment provided will be used for their intended purposes.
