IMAT COLLEGE Director, Mr Amadu Justice Bah expressed the importance of receiving the delegation from the University of London International Programmes. He noted that on the one hand, as a host he felt privileged and felt that this is a milestone achievement in itself, whilst on the other hand, the visit will open up great opportunities for thousands of Sierra Leonean students who wish to earn a degree that is internationally recognised.
The University of London, a federation of 18 Colleges, is esteemed internationally for its tradition of academic excellence, integrity and innovation. The University maintains a robust quality assurance process for all its study programmes and was last audited by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in 2011, and received the highest judgement of ‘confidence’ The University of London International Programmes draws on the expertise of the University’s Colleges and its examinations are set and marked by the same academics that assess College-based students. So, while students receive specially designed courses to suit their needs, they achieve exactly the same internationally recognised qualification as those who attend the University itself.
