Usman Boie Kamara’s storm set to kill SLPP in Sierra Leone
Former flag-bearer aspirant of the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara is weathering the storm in his finishing touches to finalise his switch of allegiance to the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) party.
His switch, it is believed, will cost the opposition a vital loss, following the avalanche of supporters, loyalists and well-wishers boost of assurances made open to give his new found party – the APC.
Following the build up to June 9 when Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara will openly declare, a number of groups all over the country are said to have come to declare their loyalty to him in anticipation to make his declaration a wholesome occasion.
Prior to his expelling letter by the SLPP, the firebrand politician was approached twice in a camaraderie meeting by top SLPP echelons to weave the past. Reports say the SLPP executive received a snub on each occasion and the last final attempt housed the former president of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Alhaji Ahmad Tejan Kabba, wife Isata Jabbie-Kabba, Chairman and Leader of the opposition, John Oponjo Benjamin, and top names but it failed to give the SLPP their desired answer.
From Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara’s point of view, the SLPP have their human errors, but he did not have plans to punish them wickedly. His views are expressed to the fact that politics was enough for him and that he should remain silent and less participating.
Pressure was kept alight on his hanging political future sooner that he made a scanty pronouncement that he was neither SLPP nor APC.
Media hype were kept insinuating that Mr. Kamara had given it to the ruling APC. It was then that the SLPP realized that one of their own was bracing to lose their comfort.
This development came with mixed feelings as the SLPP concluded it to be a betrayer on the side of Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara. On UBK’s side he said it was a case of negligence and tribal factor on the side of the SLPP led executive as they failed to patch their broken walls within and allow the crevices to split open which have now led to their downing.

ALSO AS IT HAS BEEN REPORTED SOME HIGH MEMBERS OF THE PARTY CALLED ON HIM INCLUDING HIS UNCLE AND HIS WIFE WERE HIS STRONGEST SUPPORTERS TO TALK TO HIM. HE WAS NOT THE ONLY LOOSER, MAADA LOST TO BEREWA IN 2005 HE CAME SECOND JUST LIKE UBK HE STAYED LOYAL I MEAN LOYAL TO THE PARTY BECAUSE HE BELIEVES IN THE CORE VALUES OF THE SLPP NOT SOME DELEGATES WHO ARE JUST HUMAN LIKE THE REST OF US.
