12 year old commits suicide
Twelve year old Amadu Koroma of Gbagbatoke Village in the Moyamba District on May 3rd committed suicide on a hanging whorl.
Reports say the twelve year old could not suppress his feelings as he was being mocked by colleague children for his epileptic condition. Amadu Koroma has been suffering the disease for the past five years.
According to one of the deceased’s relatives, it was a popular belief Amadu’s step mother afflicted the ailing condition on him on grounds of jealousy. It all came when Amadu’s father, Idrissa Koroma decided to marry a third wife who gave birth to him, the only boy his father was longing for, having got nine girls in a family of ten children.
Kadiatu’s (the third wife) happiness was cut short when her mate afflicted her kid in just eight months of being in the world. He was understood to be the only eligible next of kin.
He took the mugger decision on May 3rd to exit the world which he ended in the whorl hanging his dangling body. Meanwhile the Police at Gbagbatoke are investigating the matter.
