CSE sabotages Koroma’s Agenda for Change
An elder of Leicester Road community has observed that the Senegalese construction company CSE, is sabotaging one of President Koroma’s Agenda’s for Change.
Ibrahim Koroma said the President promised the people of Sierra Leone that he will provide affordable and constant electricity supply to the people of Sierra Leone but certain institutions are bent on frustrating the President’s dream.
Koroma said one of such institutions is the CSE construction company.
Mr. Koroma, a resident of the Leicester Road community pointed out that his community has been without electricity for over two months now. According to the ‘strong’ member of the ruling All People Congress (APC) party his findings were that the Hill bypass road construction work which is presently ongoing and very close to Leicester Road has affected the electricity supply in his area. He said his findings were that the electricity polls has been removed to make way for the new motorway.
Koroma said NPA officials he spoke to said they will have to get the go ahead from CSE to fix the polls back before electricity will reach that community. Although he commended CSE for the road work, Koroma said the company has been very lackadaisical to show NPA where to fix the polls.
According to Koroma, CSE can easily give the go ahead to NPA to erect the polls again and this will not affect their road work. He said if actions are not taken this issue will be politicized and the ruling party will lose votes in that community.
“All the layman knows is that the ruling APC Government has failed to provide them with electricity supply for close to two months,” Koroma warned.
He urged President Koroma to speedily address this issue as according to him the people of that community are not happy with this recent development.
