John Leigh Goes Red – Former Ambassador and flag bearer aspirant for the opposition Sierra Leone People Party (SLPP), Ambassador John Leigh has crossed his loyalty to the ruling All People Congress (APC).

In a letter sent to the Leader of the APC, President Ernest Bai Koroma, he highlighted candid reasons for his official declaration for the APC stating that the current SLPP Party is not progressive, and its Leadership lacks interest and integrity in joining national development.

Okada rider stabbed to death – Reports from Kenema City indicate that a serious fracas between pupils of the Ahmadiyya Secondary School and bike riders resulted in the killing of one bike rider Aruna Lansana on Thursday March 22.

The problem started when the deceased Aruna Lansana (an okada rider) hit Jebbeh Kamara a pupil of the said school and of Amie Kallon Street, off Dauda Section.

Reports say the okada rider immediately fled to an unknown destination after the accident which did not go down well with the pupils. The irate pupils according to a source later discovered the whereabouts of the bike rider and stabbed him to death in retaliation of the accident.

NCTVA Staff down tools – Staff of National Centre for Technical and Vocational Awards (NCTVA) on Thursday 22nd March commenced strike action refusing to report for work as a result of what they referred to as a very poor administration structure.
