Fadika boosts Old Edwardians FC
Old Edwardians FC has on Friday received two full sets of jerseys and 10 footballs from the Managing Director of Africa Minerals Limited, (AML) Moseray Fadika.
According to former chairman of the club, Hon. Chernor Bah aka Cherricoco, the donation was done after an earlier request made by the officials. Hon. Bah went on to thank the players for their continued scarifies they are making for the club.
He said: “I want to thank you all, players and officials for the scarifies you are making for this club, I understand what you are going through because for now football is no longer a business in the country.”
“This could be just the beginning with better performance there is more surprise in store for you.”
On behalf of the AML managing director, Adrian Wright who officially handed over the equipments to the club official, said he was happy to make such a donation to the team adding that the two sets jerseys are for both home and away matches.
Wright said he was not happy not to see Old Edwardians as one of the country’s representatives in CAF competition but however encouraged the players to increase their effort on the pitch as more goodies will be their’s.
He said: “I hope in three weeks time Old Edwardians will be at the top of the league table. We are not happy to see the team not making it to the CAF competitions which you all deserve to do. But I can assure you if you put more effort better things will come to you.”
Old Edwardians Team Manager, Elvis Kargbo said they appreciated the donation and the role everybody is playing towards the betterment of the club.
Kargbo advised the players that as an executive they only need stratification from the game, adding that if they continue to produce better results they will enjoy more benefit.
Team captain, Magnus Campbell on behalf of his colleagues said: “we are grateful and appreciate your effort in promoting this club. We appreciate this donation because it is always good for players to play in a better jersey.”
The club scribe, Amadu Koroma thanked Fadika for his kind gesture appeal further for financial support.
