John Benjamin attacks N’yuma
The chairman and leader of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party, (SLPP) John Oponjo Benjamin (JOB) has told Sierra Express Media in an interview that the defection of Tom N’yuma to the ruling APC does not come to senior members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party as a surprise. (Photo: John Oponjo Benjamin)
Mr. Benjamin said they in the SLPP have started seeing the actual play of politics in the political arena. He went on to say Tom N’yuma earned the popularity he is boasting of in Kailahun simply because he was with the SLPP.
He said few months before Tom N’yuma declared for the All People’s Congress, some members of the SLPP cautioned on a prior statement he made of not wanting to vie any more for the District Chairman position. JOB said they had information which earlier links N’yuma with the APC. He further said as a free party that cannot stop someone from belonging where he or she chooses, they never knew he had something up his sleeve like defection.
John Benjamin said however that due to his clandestine moves, they in the party had already prepared their minds for his exit and had also written him off so his departure was not really a surprise.
Chairman JOB also said that N’yuma’s final exit from the party actually gives them an opportunity to get a better replacement who shall seek the interest of the party instead of self.
When asked if the defection of some individuals in the party does not depict defeat or weakness on their part, he said it signifies nothing of such as their party grows stronger than before every day. He concluded by saying that immediately after the defection of Tom N’yuma he had received so many calls from councillors of Buedu expressing dissatisfaction over their district chairman’s action. He said his people have vowed not to be part of his action as they await directives from the party executive on the way forward.

I did not vote for SLPP during the 1st democratic election in 1996, however because of that my Mom,who is a core SLPP member disown me, i hardly go home to eat my own parental food.
I have to move from my parental home to Victor Foh’s home and i was know for APC every part in our community.
I run full campaign with Foh’s jr brother in Bo.
Today i have made my mind if ever i was in Salone never to vote for Koroma’s reelection to office
Reason:
1.Up on him taken power he fail to unity the nation, install his triber people humiliated the Mende’s and he Koroma keep kicking Mende’s out of office and put unqualified triber brothers.
2. He does not have any governmental qualities and ECONOMY Teams in his cabinet.
3. The party, has proved that they do not have discipline(were a leader does not have power over his deputy )
4. His policy on the future of the country does not show any values, he is on a rush and gain power president
5.I repeat !!! Poor economy team, and full of triber sentiment…. He never build any national government.
Check, his appointments of Ministers…..I am disappointed in my so call APC..
His appointment of Ambassador to Nigeria has been the worst in HISTORY……We will remember them in history, but their………?????? will pay the prices….
Bio, IS A kILLER AS THEY SAY…….what he achieved in power as head of state within 90days, No APC book Man will never near him in 10years in power…….NPRC Governmet….did not break the nation into triber, install economy change was there concern and make the road map to peace……”The same Bio” Let us see the so great Rebel Leader and handed power over to “DEMOCRACY ” !!!! ……APC MOST GOOOOOOOOOOOOO 4 D’ Gud Of Salone economy and united Salone back………God is my witness

I have never supported APC in my life. The only party I knew as a child was SLPP.My parents including my relatives were all SLPP supporters. SLPP party failed to develop Kailahun District and failed to recognised the KISSIS as a force to reckon with. When APC came to power during the time of late Siaka Steven, they Kissis were recognised and KISSI BENDU was created. Kenema Koindu road was a death trap, that road destroyed so many lives, even though our coffee and other product from the area generated foriegn exchange for the government, nothing was done to compensate our people for their effort. This time round I will vote for APC party. President Koroma is the right man to continue the good work he is doing.MAY THE LORD ALMIGHTY PROTECT SIERRA LEONE, OUR LEADER PRESIDENT KOROMA AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

May the good God Almighty reward people like the you for like you I believe that our country is been drag down a path we are all familiar with.I know and believe that there are good people in the APC who would rather see PEACE in the country than their party in power, so people like them dont want to see the likes of MUSA TARAWALY JD DAUDA TOM NYUMA SAM SUMANA WHO have in the past said or done some thing against their party.I also believe no well meaning person with principle and morals will defect from the SLPP to the APC MY HEART BLEED as well .For the APC to be spending money on arms at this point in time scares me may Allah put cold water on all of those guns and weapons ameen. I cant believe the APC is thinking of staying in power by all possible means even killing the people they want to rule how ill thought of them some of us will continue to pray day in day out to Allah fo His continued guidance and protection . And like He answered the Arab people He will answer us one day INSHALLAH. MAY ALLAH BLESS US ALL AMEEN

My brother , you are right. Sierra Leone politicians behave like prostitutes. they have no principles or moral conviction. They gravitate to the highest bidder. koroma is the highest bidder now. They will continue to defect as long as the money is right.
SLPP should be steadfast to its convictions, build the party and let the opportunists like Nyuma leave.
All Well meaning Sierra Leoneaans shiold remain vigillant and not be bamboozled by political pprostitutes.

It’s not a surprise that history is repeating itself under the eyes of all Sierra Leonean. The legacy & ghost of President Siaka Stevens is at work. Sierra Leone saw the devastation a ONE PARTY system brought to our beloved country. And we as citizens of Sierra Leone are BLINDED to the ills and eventual consequence of the past system. The way things are going, our beloved country is heading on the same path of future destruction of our democratic process. Sierra Leoneans Hello! Wake up, wake up! do not you see where our Nation is heading again? Do not you smell it coming! Lonta !!!!!!
