November 17… Dr. Unpha wants Constituency 96 redeemed

A son of SLPMB in Calaba Town stretching to Allen Town, one of Sierra Leone’s hardworking and patriotic sons of Constituency 96, Dr. Alpha Sorie Koroma is all set to enter mainstream politics with an intense desire. “I am here to redeem my people from development stagnation observed in Constituency 96 owing to absolute political neglect,” Dr. Sorie said.

“Previous representatives have failed to bring meaningful changes to the electorates of Constituency 96.”

A cross section of the electorates of Constituency 96 told this press that Dr. Koroma is a father, brother, uncle and above all, a son, who over the years, has stood by people of the constituency in time of joy and sadness.

A constituent, Abu Conteh, in his measurement said previous Members of Parliament have had field days exploiting people of Constituency 96 for their selfish benefits.

In his comments, Dr. Sorie who doubles as a Pharmacist said he is a graduate of Howard University in the USA and a holder of a Masters in Business Administration degree.

He said he has served as a long standing member of the American Chemical Society in the American Association of Pharmacists.

He said he has been paying regular visits to Sierra Leone and has had moments of interaction with people of Constituency 96.

He has offered scholarships to school going pupils in that constituency and has worked with different groups including women and young people on issues of development.

“I believe in community development, I like to bring people together for the general good and I am good at mobilizing the youths for community development,” he said.

He added, however that he is happy with the developmental strides of the APC.

“My aims are to bring development to my constituency. It is my desire to enhance support for education.

“I will also give support to issues of health because health, to many, is wealth.”

The electorates maintained however that if the governing APC is to make headway in Constituency 96, it must seriously think before awarding its symbol come the November 17th elections.

“We the people should decide who should be given the symbol, and for now, the lot falls on Dr Sorie,” they said.
