Giileh’s Christmas in Sierra Leone

Sierra Leonean gospel singer Giileh, set the pace for gospel musicians on Friday December 23rd, 2011 amidst, the festive celebrations of weddings, office parties, and nightclubs in Sierra Leone, where she performed live at the prestigious Taia Resort, a five star hotel located at the Lumley beach. The upper achelora of society gathered together to witness this one of a kind performance with a professional band D3nity, backup singers, and dancers. The event was graced with some of Sierra Leone’s highly talented and diverse gospel singers ranging from rappers, children, to dancers;  such as, Hannah Williams, Millicent Rhodes, Christiana Conteh, The Lizeo Dancers, Kinds of Grace, The Lyrical Priest, Bomba praise, Johnny P, Kingdom kids, just to name a few Giileh had also been invited to perform for the President H.E. President Ernest Bai Koroma at the president’s lodge in an exclusive VIP event on Dec 21st, amidst multiple musicians where the ambiance of her angelic voice vibrated in the presidential compound to a round of loud applause from dignitaries present.  (Photo: Giileh-D3nity)

Giileh then traveled with members of Save The Nation, a 501c3 non profit founded by Giileh to the region, Shenge by road and sea, where she donated 80 boxes of books to elementary school’s  whose villages had been affected by a severe boat accident on Sept 9, 2009. The distribution took place at a village called Mofuss which was known to be the place where the boat started its journey on that fatal day. Giileh later appeared on the popular show Wey us show where she explained  her mission of working as the founder of the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians (SLAAM) in the USA to enhance the Sierra Leone musician in the USA and give them the opportunity to be successful musicians, with the news that the board of directors would soon be announced with members from London, Sierra Leone, and the USA.  She was able to meet with multiple groups of musicians, such as The association of gospel artists and musicians, (AGAM); and to also meet with the Ministry of Tourism and multiple musicians to deliberate on how musicians could work with the ministry to enhance the Sierra Leonean economy and the music industry.

The release of Giileh’s album had the cd’s in supply running low with performances at multiple churches such as, Shalom Ministries, Battle Axe Ministries, Faith Assemblies, Bethel World Outreach, Sanctuary Praise, Fountain of Life, Winners Chapel,
