Police arrest thief for stealing bags of electric cable
A joint team of police and military personnel at the Mile 38 check point Thursday 15th arrested Brima Sesay of No. 3 Alfson Lane with bags containing rolls of electric cables.
After his arrest, he was taken to Masiaka Police where he is now helping the police with their investigation.
Brima, in an interview, told the police that he found the cables in the bushes near Lunsar town – about 50 miles from Mile 38 where he was arrested.
βI was at a farm to buy cassava for business. Unfortunately for me, the cassava was yet to reach harvest,β he said.
βOn my way returning, I went into a nearby bush in Lunsar town to ease myself, and fortunately caught at 4 bags loaded with copper. I was happy and straight away boarded a vehicle for Freetown to sell them to the Chinese at Cline town.β
