Mayor spends night In police cells
Mayor Herbert George Williams Monday 28th passed the night in the cells of Western police station for not meeting bail condition as prescribed by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
Reports have it that the Mayor, who awaits court call to answer to 25 count charges of misappropriation and other corruption related charges, failed to produce two house books to the police to cause his release.
He is said to have spent the night with hard core criminals in the cells of Western police.
It could be recalled that the ACC Monday 29th indicted ten Freetown City Council officers including Mayor Herbert, his Chief Administrative officer, Bowenson Philips for corruption and other related offences.
