SWASAL-Mercury Int’l annual national sports awards night 2011

The general public is hereby informed that the 2nd Annual National Sports Awards Night organized by the Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL), in collaboration with Mercury International (SL) Ltd., will take place on Saturday 3rd December 2011, at the Miatta Conference Hall, Youyi Building, in Freetown at 8:30pm prompt.

Already in the public domain is a list of nominees for the various categories of awards selected by some 15 sports associations and at least 30 Sports Journalists country-wide.

SWASAL is admonishing the general public to vote for those nominees they think should be awarded for their outstanding performance (s) during the last 11 months.

People wishing to take part in the voting process should send a short text message containing the name of the athlete/personality they want to be awarded and the category of award to 088-100-800.

The public is further notified that a person can only vote once with a particular mobile phone number for each of the nominees in the various categories.

The deadline for voting is Wednesday 30th November 2011, 12 midnight sharp.
