15 Sierra Leone pilgrims depart Saudi Arabia

15 Sierra Leone pilgrims depart Saudi Arabia

Fifteen Sierra Leone pilgrims left the King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, in the early hours of Saturday, 19th November, 2011, after successful performance of their Hajj rituals a few days ago.  (Photo: Excited Sierra Leone pilgrims  after completion of Hajj rituals)

They are expected to arrive at the Lungi International airport in the early hours of Sunday. The rest of the pilgrims will leave mid next week, according to a senior member of the Hajj Mission.

Over 750 Sierra Leoneans took part in this year’s Muslim pilgrimage in Mecca.  Meanwhile, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia says in a statement last night that more than 500,000 pilgrims had so far left King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madina since last week.  GACA also assured the safe and efficient departure of pilgrims
