Waterloo indicts police & wardens over transport restriction

Residents of Waterloo in the Waterloo Rural District have heaped blame on traffic Police officers and Wardens for constraints they face in the area of transport to and from home.

In an interview with residents of the Waterloo community as they scrambled for vehicles at ‘Up Gun’ Ross Road, Freetown, they said that commercial drivers selected to ply the Waterloo-Freetown route have had seizeless moments greasing the hands of police officers to enable them take passengers to destinations other than Waterloo.

It could be recalled that a few weeks ago, a pupil attending the Anne Walsh Memorial Secondary School reportedly fell into coma just after waiting for about 3 to 4 hours for a vehicle that will take her to Waterloo but did not get one.

“We are unhappy with the attitudes of both the police and traffic wardens,” Madam Mabinty said.

“How for goodness sake would drivers pay bribes to police officers and traffic wardens and in the end keep away from plying the routes they are assigned to thereby dispossessing other Waterloo passengers?”

“We in the Waterloo community submissively call on government to at least provide us with a bus to ease our unending discomfort from commercial drivers assigned to and from Waterloo.”

They noted however that the Waterloo Township has had a local council that collects hundreds of millions Leones in tax, but woefully cannot provide transportation for its subjects.

In a more fierce tone, the angry Waterloo passengers noted however that the police and traffic wardens have vehemently not sought their interest but rather gave easy moments to commercial drivers.
