UNIPSIL host consultative meeting
UNIPSIL has concluded a two day consultative meeting for 43 civil society organizations in Bo.
The meeting was hosted at Fair View Lodge hotel in Bo, and was facilitated by Dr. Memunatu Pratt, a senior lecturer at the department of “Peace and Conflict” at Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone.
The conference talked about capacity building of the Civil Society to enable them fully participates in the 2012 elections.
Strategies identified include, capacity building, research and documentation, media information and education, communication collaboration, partnership and coordination, and conflict transformation.
Organizations that took part during the conference are HOPE Sierra Leone, Fambul Tok, CCYA, SLYO, TUC-SL, TYPE-SL , CGG etc.
