Bongo cash for Comium subscribers
Comium, one of Sierra Leone’s leading mobile service providers manifested its greatness in the telephone industry on the 13th November 2009 at Hotel Barmoi when the unique new international tariff to key destinations and Bongo Cash for the provinces was unveiled.
Speaking to members of the press, Comium’s Director of Commercial Services Mr. Joe Amara-Bangalie Jnr, in his key note address made some announcements, which he said are in line with his company’s promises of delivering “value added and exciting products and services before the end of the year. This follows the launching of Comium Weekend which proved hugely successful.
Before going further, Mr. Amara-Bangalie revealed that Comium Weekend can now be accessed by prepaid subscribers using SMS. “By sending a blank SMS to 3333 at a cost of 150 units prepaid subscribers will be able to enjoy free talk time on all their Comium to Comium calls from Friday 12 midnight to Sunday 12 midnight.”
Mr. Amara-Bangalie went on further to state that post paid customers can continue to enjoy this offer by sending a blank SMS to 234 as they have been doing previously. “I would like to remind you all that Comium Weekend henceforth will be available for subscribers in Freetown only,” he said.
The Comium director of commercial services was however quick to state that Comium subscribers in the provinces-the HomeZone, will still continue to enjoy the promotional HomeZone rate of 5 units per minute for Comium to Comium calls on a 24/7 basis. “This will more than compensate for the weekend offer,” he said.
Speaking on the motive for the press briefing, Mr. Amara-Bangalie said he is launching two different offers. “One for all our subscribers and the other only for our subscribers in the HomeZone, which is the provincial areas,” he said.
“Today we are launching a new promotion on our international rates which will bring them even lower from our standard tariff of 50 units per minute,” he said.
According to Mr. Amara-Bangalie, over the past couple of months their promotion on Comium tariffs to key international destinations has seen a reduction from 50 units per minute to 35 units per minute and more recently even lower to 28 units per minute after the first minute call.
Therefore, he would like to inform the entire country about their new tariffs operation starting from November 13th that is now commencing and already technically implemented as followed. UK landline 22 units per minute, Mobile 27 units UK per minute, Lebanon landline 25 units, Mobile 25 units. The USA 25 units mobile and Canada 25 units per minute all go just after the first minute call and these rates are effective as he was speaking, and they constitute the most affordable international rates in Sierra Leone to these destinations.
Presentation on Comium direct partners by the direct sales manager was done by Maarten Kranendonk, he said their rates are effective as he is talking and they constitute the most affordable international rates in Sierra Leone specifically for the subscribers in the provincial areas in the 12 districts like Bo, Kenema, Kono, Tonkolili, Port Loko, Moyamba and Kambia. In these areas the promotion through a weekly draw will choose on winners in each of these districts for the next months. Mr. Kranendonk said his mission in Sierra Leone is to research and know the direct Comium sales managers in this country.
He said according to his report the weekly draw will choose one winner in each of the district, that is 12 every week will each take the sum of Le 1,000,000 (one million Leones) All the subscribers in these Regions need to enter the weekly draws so that they can get the same chance to win some BONGO CASH.
In an extravaganza manner in his statement, he said with recharging with any denomination one can make a call that can last for at least one minute on their line on a daily basis recharging and talking for at least one minute will give you an opportunity to win BONGO CASH.
He further informed subscribers to know about their qualifying every Saturday on SLBS TV and that winners will receive their cash prizes the following Monday.
