Man Stabbed To Death
Assistant Superintendent Dennis Taylor attached to the New England Police Station has informed this Press that on Saturday September 12th 2009;Â a man identified as Samura was stabbed to death in cold blood by Kalie Bangura in Dworzark Farm, George Brook Freetown.
The police officer related that according to investigations and statement given by the accused Kalie Bangura, he and Samura reside in the same area and the death of the latter came about as a result of a grudge that has existed between the two for some months now. The grudge it is said manifested itself into the death of Samura after some hassle with accused Kallie Bangura who wedged many stabs on his counterpart leaving him to die on the evening of September 12th.
The corpse of Samura was discovered by an OSD police officer who also resides in the area who reported to the New England Police that he discovered the deceased outside his home with multiple stabs on his body. The body of the victim of multiple stabs was taken away by the police for post-mortem. Â
Meanwhile, the suspect was apprehended and is presently in police custody with the case pending to be charged to court after the last of police investigations is completed.
ASP Taylor in charge of the New England Police Station has raised concern over the increase in the crime rate in the community, as of what obtains right now in terms of crime is very alarming and disgusting. He however said that he and his officers have held a lot of community stakeholder meetings to come out with methods of minimizing such incidences using community policing. He also registered his displeasure at the rate of domestic violence within the community saying that child battering and child abuse are among the most reported crimes at New England and its environs.
