False allegations against Nick Danso and Ghana Link Network Services Ltd

Our attention has been drawn to several publications by the Standard Times Newspaper alleging that the President of Ghana Link Network Services Limited, Mr. Nick Danso is a drug dealer and uses drug money to influence politicians.

The publications dated March 18th, March 19th, March 25th, April 18th, May 3rd, May 11th and July 21st2011 made several other serious and malicious allegations against Mr. Nick Danso and Ghana Link Network Services Limited to wit: that Nick Danso is a member of a Spanish drug cartel; that Nick Danso recently bribed government officials in Sierra Leone; that Nick Danso application for a contract in Liberia was turned down by President Sirleaf after her government got wind of his drug dealings etc. etc.

We wish to inform the general public that the publications referred to above are false and defamatory. Mr. Nick Danso has never had any dealings in drugs or any other illegal activities and currently enjoys a cordial relationship with President Sir Leaf and her government of Liberia.

Ghana Link now has a presence in Sierra Leone and is bidding for the Destination Inspection Contract. This bid has a number of competitors who think that the only way they could succeed is by tarnishing the reputation of rival businesses. Indeed, we are aware that one of the rival competitors has paid for these shameless publications against Mr Nick Danso. These are the same competitors who need the support and services of Ghana Link to succeed in their contract arrangement with the government of Ghana by way of the provision of scanner services. Surprisingly, some of these competitors have indeed approached Ghana link for joint business in Sierra Leone. Now the question to ask is that; is it possible that such international and prestigious companies would do business with a drug dealing company like Ghana Link?

We also wish to inform the general public that Standard Times publication is intended to discredit Ghana Link, an indigenous African business in favour of European competitors and other nefarious individuals.

Mr. Nick Danso is a reputable businessman who has worked very hard to become an African success story.

In view of the various false and malicious publications, Ghana Link and Mr. Nick Danso has solicited the services of a Lawyer to demand an immediate retraction of the defamatory statements by Standard Times failing which legal proceedings will be instituted for defamation of character.

We continue to pledge our allegiance to the government and people of Sierra Leone and supports the government agenda for change.

ABOUT GHANA LINK NETWORK SERVICES LIMITED

Ghana Link Network Services Limited is a reputable indigenous African company operating in Ghana with business relationships across the world. Nick Danso is the president.

In the year 2000 the Destination Inspection Scheme started in Ghana but as a result of the many challenges in implementation and execution by one operator, the government decided to bring additional players. The government of Ghana opened fresh tenders for more private participation and at the end of the tender process; three additional European companies in addition to Ghana Link were selected and given contracts to operate.

Ghana Link operated the scheme over the years and has now become the dominant player in the business in Ghana. Ghana Link dominates in the provision of scanners for the scheme to fulfil its obligations and not for facilitating any drug trade. The activities of Ghana Link have brought hatred to the company by Criminals including drug traffickers.

As a leading indigenous Ghanaian and only African Inspection Company in a business reserved for Europeans, Ghana Link which is now doing business in Sierra Leone will continue to do good business and support the government of Sierra Leone and others in the sub region in their efforts at revenue mobilization aimed at alleviating the plight of our suffering masses.
